Welcome to Primary Alliance for Learning School Centred Initial Teacher Training.
The recruitment and development of new teachers is our passion. Our team is committed to transforming graduate trainees into outstanding teachers, who are confident in their ability to raise the attainment of young people. We offer a high quality and innovative training programme, which is delivered by first-class educational practitioners and tailored to suit the individual interests and talents of each of our trainees.
We work in partnership with the Alliance for Learning, who through The Greater Manchester Bright Futures SCITT, deliver a school-based initial teacher training program. Here, we have a partnership of 37 schools, colleges and universities. This is led by St Bede Primary Academy, Bolton and Altrincham Grammar School for Girls (both rated outstanding by Ofsted). We also work in partnership with our Greater Manchester Teaching School Partner, partnering with at 67 schools, colleges and universities, as far north as Cumbria and as far south as the midlands.
During the SCITT program, you will spend time in two of our alliance schools and work alongside outstanding teachers, graduating with Qualified Teacher Status and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education accredited by the University of Manchester. This includes 60 ‘M’ Level credits which can be used towards a Masters qualification.
