Here at St Bede’s Teaching School we pride ourselves with working with first class nationally renowned leaders of change, none so much than STEM Learning and the National STEM Centre at York University. Over the last few years, we have formed a solid partnership with STEM Learning with our hugely successful Primary Science Learning Partnership, which caters for both trainees and established teachers from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Here, professionals can engage with a wide range of Continued Professional Development and training courses. Much of our work is bespoke, tailored to the support required for each individual school’s needs.
Below is the shared vision we hold with STEM Learning
“Our vision is to achieve a world-leading STEM education for all young people across the UK.
Supported by a unique partnership of Government, charitable trusts and employers, we are dedicated to raising young people’s engagement and achievement in STEM subjects and careers.
The Model of Change presents our vision and showcases what we do as an organisation. ”
We also run very successful regional networks across Greater Manchester – currently one in each of Bolton, Wigan, Salford, Tameside and Rochdale. Here, teachers are able to attend bespoke training as well as opportunities for networking and the sharing of good practice.
